Mushroom Breeder (M/F)


Job description

As an experienced Mushroom Breeder (M/F) you will play an active role in implementing selection programs in response to the needs of the sales teams. You will report to the European R&D Manager and work as part of the Research team.

Job requirements

A 5- to 8-year degree in biological or agricultural science, specializing in plant genetic improvement, with experience in selection or experimentation projects through internships or initial employment.

  • Essential proficiency in molecular biology;
  • Good observation skills in various environments;
  • Fluency in professional English (and French if English-speaking);
  • Proficiency in statistical tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage selection programs using biotechnological tools, particularly through:
    • Desiging cross-breeding plants;
    • Monitoring and grading trials;
    • Analyzing and interpreting the results obtained;
  • Lead the selection team responsible for implementing the selection programs;
  • Collaborate closely with other departments within the group: Research, Production, Development, Sales, Quality Control, etc.
  • Effectively manage the human, technical, and financial resources allocated to selection projects;
  • Participate in scientific exchanges and cross-functional initiatives within the group.

Salary will be negotiated based on the candidate’s background and experience.
