L’île Bouchard, France – Sylvan and EuroMycel have successfully completed a significant expansion of the EuroMycel production facility in L’île Bouchard, reinforcing their long-term commitment to supporting mushroom growers in France and across Europe.
The project, completed after nine months of construction, adds four new state-of-the-art incubation rooms to the site and increases overall production capacity by approximately 15% to 20% when fully operational.
The investment comes in response to the continued strong demand for the group’s white, brown and exotic mushroom strains. The additional capacity will not only strengthen service levels for the European mushroom growing community but will also enhance production flexibility across the wider Sylvan European network. It will also enable EuroMycel to further improve responsiveness to customer needs while providing greater production flexibility and security of supply. As demand continues to grow, the additional capacity ensures that growers can continue to rely on the high-quality spawn and technical expertise for which EuroMycel and Sylvan are known.

“This investment reflects our confidence in the future of the mushroom industry and our commitment to supporting growers with reliable supply, consistent quality and high service levels,” said Frédéric Mathieu, Managing Director of EuroMycel.
The completion of the project marks another important milestone in the partnership between Sylvan and EuroMycel. The design of the expansion also allows for future development opportunities, with the potential to significantly increase the site’s capacity further should market demand require it.
As the facility enters full operation, EuroMycel and Sylvan remain focused on delivering the quality, flexibility and service that customers across France and Europe depend upon every day.
